Meet K. Kamalathal popularly knows as “Idli Amma” a 85 year old women from Tamil Nadu. She runs a small shop in Vadivelampalayam of Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu from the past 30 years. She gets up at 5 am in the morning and start preparing idlis on the chulah (a traditional mud stove) and uses a stone grinder for making the chutney. At 6 am she opens the shop for the customers. You will be astonished to know that such a hardwork costs Rs.1 only.

In an interview to the The Hindu when asked about the number of the idlis she sold every day she replied “i don’t keep a count on them
but use 8 kg of rice for batter”
